Jade Barbosa lost her mother when she was just nine years old. At thirteen she had to leave her father and brother in Rio to train at the Curitiba training center. At just sixteen she is the new star of Brazilian gymnastics. In the Pan American Games she won one gold medal, one silver and one bronze.
