Mahatma Gandhi was Born on October 2,1869, in Porbandar, India. At that time, India was a colony of British Empire. After the war, in 1947, India became independent. However, Gandhi was not happy because religious fights broke out. He helped stop the violence, but the country was divided into India and Pakistan.
