Female passenger punches cabin crew

A British woman was kicked off a plane full of British holidaymakers after drunkenly attacking cabin crew at 35,000 ft over the Atlantic Ocean, and punching an air steward in the face. The woman was thought to have been drinking from her secret stash of alcohol on the Thomson Airways flight from Manchester to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. In February 1988 the supersonic airliner Concorde flew from New York to London in a shade under three hours. To do that, it had to fly at twice the speed of sound. Unless you have flown the Atlantic in slower aircraft, statistics like these do not really show you how dramatic Concorde’s speed is. One example that does help is comparing it with a pistol bullet.
