Female passenger punches cabin crew
A British woman was kicked off a plane full of British holidaymakers after drunkenly attacking cabin crew at 35,000 ft over the Atlantic Ocean, and punching an air steward in the face. The woman was thought to have been drinking from her secret stash of alcohol on the Thomson Airways flight from Manchester to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. After and out the cabin crew, the 45-year-old woman had to be handcuffed to her seat, and the Boeing 767-300 was diverted to Bermuda so that she could be dealt with local police.
She was kicked off the plane and the flight, which had 260 passengers on board, eventually reached its Caribbean destination 28 hours later than scheduled.
Thompson Airways operates a zero tolerance policy with regards to any disruptive behaviour onboard its flight.

Which airliner can fly twice as fast as a pistol bullet?
Which airliner can fly twice as fast as a pistol bullet?
In February 1988 the supersonic airliner Concorde flew from New York to London in a shade under three hours. To do that, it had to fly at twice the speed of sound. Unless you have flown the Atlantic in slower aircraft, statistics like these do not really show you how dramatic Concorde’s speed is. One example that does help is comparing it with a pistol bullet. The fastest bullets travel at about 1100 kilometres per hour. If you someone target shooting with a pistol, you how quick that is. However, if you fired a pistol after a Concorde when it was travelling flat out with its crew and 128 passengers on board, Concorde would fly away from the bullet. Reaching a speed of 2333 kilometres per hour, Concorde would leave a pistol bullet standing.
