A Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) emitiu, no dia 30 de novembro de 2015, o Certificado de Tipo para a aeronave MBB-BK117 D-2, comercialmente denominada EC145 T2, fabricada pela Airbus Helicopters Deutschland (AHD). Com a emissão do certificado pela Agência, a aeronave já pode ser comercializada e operada em todo o território brasileiro.

Terceiro maior mercado de aviação do mundo, o Brasil deu um salto de 17 posições no ranking de segurança operacional da aviação civil em relação à última auditoria realizada pela Organização de Aviação Civil Internacional (OACI).
